It’s not hard to guess how the Sawtooth Mountain Range of Idaho got its name. This jagged and magnificent range (part of the Rocky Mountains) contains an astounding 57 peaks over 10,000 ft elevation! And…just happens to resemble an old hand saw. Hundreds of pristine lakes and rivers beckon to boaters, fishermen, kayakers, and rafters looking for adventures with a beautiful view. The massive peaks call to the rock and mountain climbers, while the trails and campgrounds invite hikers, backpackers, campers, and casual picnickers to soak in the fresh air and wildlife viewing. The dark skies offer amazing stargazing and a clear view of the Milky Way to anyone who is lucky enough to look up.
This design features jagged peaks and tall evergreens reflected in a mountain lake.
Wild huckleberries on the bushes in the foreground are ripe for the picking!
