From the Ozark Mountains to the Coastal Plains, almost 60% of Arkansas is considered forestland. With over 180 different types of trees (a mix of evergreen and deciduous) the color of the landscape changes seasonally from bright or deep greens to a kaleidoscope of vibrant oranges, yellows, and reds. Viewing the beautiful landscape from one of many lookout towers is a popular tourist attraction, especially from 216 ft. tall Hot Springs Mountain Tower in Hot Springs National Park.
